Oud & Roses is one of the few pieces here with no designer reference behind it - the house doing the oldest pairing in Arabic perfumery for its own sake. Turkish rose and peony open lush, lemon and lavender keeping them bright. Frankincense and sandalwood build a resinous heart, and oud, guaiac wood and oakmoss take the base somewhere genuinely dark.
An original oriental in the classical Gulf tradition, not an interpretation of anything French.
