Details
Durrat Al Aroos starts in an unusual place, with white musk and cypriol right at the top, so it opens soft, woody and slightly smoky rather than bright. Cardamom and saffron come through in the heart with vanilla, giving it a warm, spiced sweetness.
Tonka bean and guaiac wood finish it smooth and resinous, an amber woody base with a faint smokiness from the guaiac. The overall feel is cosy and enveloping rather than loud.
Warm and spiced. Best in air conditioned evenings and cooler months.
